WHY ARE DEVELOPING COUNTRIES UNDERDEVELOPED

While it may be hard to arrive at a worldwide acceptable defination of what constitutes development, it is not really hard to determine what the average person desires to have. Majority if not all persons the world over want to have food, shelter and clothing. In countries underdeveloped, these basic needs seem like luxaries. This begs the patinent question why are basic essentials for life in short supply?

Here is what may surprise you. Underdeveloped countries seem to have plenty of everything ranging from raw materials to the human resources to handle the task of procession of these materials into consumable items for society's benefit. Unfortunately, it is not what is happening or it is just too slow a pace to make any noticable change. The concept of self first is still deeply entrenched and those enthrusted with the task of processing society's wealth for the benefit of all, apparently concentrate on amassing wealth for their own benefit. In the best of senerios, only a handful of people in society end up owning the entire wealth of the society and everyone else remain where they are or worse than they had been before.

WHAT ARE DEVELOPING COUNTRIES

It is not easy to find a universal defination of what constitutes a developing country, partly because the defination itself is made by those who defined themselves as developed. I don't want to be caught between the two blocs as to which defination fits well and appropiately. However, it is fair that certain key universal desires are taken into consideration inorder to arrive at some common ground breaking consensus. What are those common groung breaking universal consensus. Majority of the people in all blocs (developed and developing countries) desire to have access to clean drinking water, have enough food supply, good living conditions as well as well as other luxaries of life such as cars, tvs, computers, etc.

The intriging point here is the fact that all the above mentioned are so accessable to people in the developed countries that they are simply classify as basic needs. On the other hand, the people in the developing countries still find it hard to access the most basic of all; food, clothing and shelter. This clearly is where the dispairity seem to occure. Needless to say, the label developed and developing countries became necessary to explain the different realities in the two blocks. While the above explaination may seem inadequate in defining the real sinerios in either bloc, it does highlight one thing, that is one bloc is not a desirable place for survival while the other bloc becomes the shinny city on the hill all desire to fine themselves
Introduction;

In developing countries, progress is what everyone looks forward to. But in reality, it is one of the most elusive terms developming countries come to grapple with. This is because it has found no welcoming in any place or amony any group of citizens. The reason is, everyone is suggesting that they be allow to lay their greedy hands on a few things before it is time to let everyone have their own. The problem with this is, the few things you may want to jump start with before others are welcome, may actually turn out to be the only things available.
